There are velcro straps under the rainfly to attach it to the tent body itself so it's positioned correctly, and there's plenty of places to use guylines. I could see the poles directing water down the rainfly in a certain way, but I'm not sure about pooling sitting on the fly itself. The poles on the Halo do indeed create fantastic standing room in the tent, and being a tall guy (6'5", 195cm), I really appreciate that. And being in BC, rain is much more likely than other camping locations. Increased the weight probably, but when car camping, it's not such a huge issue. So we almost bought a Limestone, but when researching it seemed like the Halo had more durable, waterproof fabrics. The halo design holds the walls out and makes the interior feel even larger than it is. At its highest point, it is 75.5 inches high.
